WINONA, Minn. (KWNO)-The Winona City Council is set to discuss the city’s top staff position during their meeting Tuesday night.
Mayor Scott Sherman last year called on the council to address the city manager position in the first weeks of 2022. He told KWNO the agenda item concerning the next city manager is fairly open-ended.
“It could be an immediate decision or it could be something that goes into a longer process, depending what council decides,” said Sherman.
Chad Ubl is the Acting City Manager. The post was held for five years by Steve Sarvi until October of 2021 following a closed-door meeting of the city council.
The council meets at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
