La Crescent Hokah Pauses In-Person Learning

LA CRESCENT, Minn. (KWNO)-The La Crescent-Hokah school district is pausing in-person learning across all grades for one week.  

The pause began Friday and is scheduled to end on Fri., Jan. 14. The pause is in response to an “escalating number of Covid-19 related student and staff absences,” according to a post on the district’s website. 

Staff is spending the day preparing for a week of virtual instruction. The district said there will be no activities, practices, childcare, or outside group facility usage during the pause.

The district is offering families free COVID-19 testing during school hours next week. Families interested in testing are asked to make an appointment with the school district.
