MANKATO, Minn. (KWNO)- U.S. Rep. Jim Hagedorn announced he has tested positive for COVID-19 Tuesday.
Hagedorn said in a statement he learned of the positive diagnosis Monday evening. He said he has been vaccinated and is experiencing minor symptoms.
Hagedorn said he will work with Mayo Clinic professionals until it’s safe for him to return to his home in Blue Earth or travel to Washington D.C. for work. Hagedorn, who is being treated for kidney cancer, said he’s being observed and treated at Mayo at his doctor’s request.
Hagedorn represents southern Minnesota in the U.S. House.
