WINONA, Minn. (KWNO)-Winona County Health and Human Services is continuing its COVID-19 vaccination effort in the new year.
Four clinics are scheduled this month. The first is Jan. 9 from noon to 4 p.m. at the East End Rec Center. Two clinics are scheduled for Jan. 13 and 20 at the Maplewood Townhomes.
The month’s clinic’s end at the East End Rec. Center on Jan. 23. Health officials will offer first, second, third, and booster doses to all eligible populations.
The FDA approved booster doses for people ages 12 and older Monday morning. The FDA also recommended Pfizer recipients get their booster shot five months after completing the two-dose vaccine sequence.
The county’s $50 incentive for residents who get their first dose at a county-sponsored vaccine clinic has been extended to Feb. 28.
The county reports its vaccination programs are responsible for administering over 27,000 doses. Over 76,000 doses have been administered throughout the county.
