WINONA, Minn. (KWNO)-A Rochester man was brought into custody after leading authorities in Minnesota and Wisconsin on a pursuit early Sunday morning.

Winona Police say officers were alerted by Trempealeau County that the suspect, 36-year-old Jermy S. Martin, was headed to Winona. Martin was wanted for fleeing and for his alleged role in an assault that took place in Trempealeau County.

Police say they deployed stop sticks which disabled Martin’s vehicle as he crossed the interstate bridge into Winona. Officers say Martin then fled on foot to the Winona State main campus where he was apprehended without further incident.

Martin was brought to the Winona County jail where he’s being held until he can be extradited back to Wisconsin.
