(KWNO)- Two members of the No. 8 Winona State Volleyball team took home weekly conference honors.
Graduate Student Becca Pagel was named the NSIC’s Defensive Player of the week. She led the conference last weekend with 5.88 digs per set, 24 digs against Upper Iowa, and 23 against No. 7 Concordia St. Paul.
Pagel leads the NSIC this season with 5.15 digs per set and was named NSIC Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.
Graduate student Bre Maloney was named NSIC Setter of the Week. She tallied 94 total assists, good for an NSIC best 11.75 per set average last weekend, earned 50 assists in a 3-1 win over No. 7 CSP, and had two kills and a block assist vs. the Golden Bears.
Maloney posted 44 assists, three kills, and nine digs in a win at UIU and was second on the team in digs for the week, with 23, including 14 vs. CSP.
The Warriors host MSU-Mankato tonight at McCown Gym.
