WINONA, Minn. (KWNO)-Miller Scrap is once again stepping up for Ready Set School (RSS).

The local scrap yard will host a free appliance recycling event in September. Miller Scrap will donate $1 to Ready Set School for every appliance they receive.

Appliances can be dropped off at 1 Recycling Ln. If you don’t have an appliance to get rid of, RSS Director Mani Olson says there are other opportunities to donate at the Big Muddy Brew N Que and other events listed on their website

The following appliances can be dropped off: Refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, water heaters, washers, dryers, stoves, microwaves, dishwashers, and dehumidifiers.
