Winona, MN (August 16, 2021) The Winona County Historical Society will host a film screening and conversation of Winona Unmasked: A COVID-19 Collection of Interviews on August 26 at 6 p.m. at the Winona County History Center.
“We have all been impacted by COVID-19. A friend was one of the first people to lose his father to the virus at a local nursing home. I wanted to capture his story on film, and that began this collection of interviews with others in the Winona community who were affected personally and professionally. Some struggled and some thrived, but everyone adapted to new ways of overcoming limitations and inconveniences to carry on with daily responsibilities and activities. Their stories often reveal an underlying sense of gratefulness and hope during this life-changing pandemic.”
