By TJ Aug 16, 2021 | 10:02 AM

(KWNO)-Four people were hospitalized following a crash ending to a Trempealeau County vehicle pursuit.

The Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy attempted to stop a disorderly conduct suspect in a vehicle on Highway 93 near Elk Creek, Wis. Sunday afternoon. Authorities say the suspect took off and reached speeds of 105 mph as the purist headed towards Independence, Wis.

Officials say an Independence police officer deployed stop sticks.  The suspect lost control of his vehicle while avoiding the stop sticks and collided head-on with a northbound vehicle unrelated to the pursuit, according to a statement from the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspect and a passenger were airlifted from the scene with unknown injuries. The occupants of the northbound vehicle were hospitalized for treatment of minor injuries.

Deputies have not released the names of the people involved. The incident is under investigation.
