Winona Police issue theft alert amid new string of catalytic converter thefts

WINONA, Minn. (KWNO)-Winona Police have issued a theft alert following a recent string of reported catalytic converters thefts.  

Police advise residents to park their vehicles in a well-lit area and to listen for a vehicle’s panic alarm. Officials say the recent run of thefts has happened to newer model vehicles.  

Anyone who sees suspicious activity near a vehicle is asked to call the police. Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to call Winona Area Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 507-457-6530 or the Winona Police Department at 507-457-6302.
