WINONA, Minn. (KWNO)-A pursuit of a Wabasha County man started in Buffalo County and ended with an arrest in Winona Monday morning.
The Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy attempted to pull over 41-year-old Christopher Brown north of Cochrane on Highway 35 for erratic driving and excessive speed. Authorities say Brown led them south on a chase before turning off 35 towards Winona.
Winona Police say they were alerted to chase by Buffalo County and set out stop sticks to attempt to slow Brown down as crossed into Minnesota on the inbound bridge. Despite Brown driving around the sticks, police say they were able to stop his vehicle and apprehend him in the area of 4th and Winona Streets.
Brown was taken to the Winona County jail for fleeing a peace officer. He also has outstanding warrants in Wabasha County, according to the Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office.
