LA CROSSE, Wis. (KWNO)-Tickets are still available for the Deke Slayton Airfest in La Crosse on Saturday and Sunday.
Those who attended will not be packed into a grandstand. Instead, they will be situated in what organizers describe as car pods.
Media Coordinator Dave Larsen said they worked with the La Crosse County Health Department to follow COVID safety guidelines. He says the pods are roughly 1,000 square feet and that attendees can bring their lawn chairs to take in the show.
“No matter where your family is in the parking lot, next to your car, in your lawn chairs, you’re going to have a great view of the entire air show,” Larsen said.
He said there will also be food trucks scattered throughout the viewing area and fans are welcomed to move about the lot. To learn more about the Deke Slayton Airfest, click here.
