David Vaselaar Named President & Chief Executive Officer of WNB Financial

In addition to his role as President, WNB Financial is pleased to announce the promotion of David Vaselaar to Chief Executive Officer.

The promotion was made at a recent meeting of the Bank’s Board of Directors. In his new role, Vaselaar will assume the overall leadership of WNB Financial, including the Bank’s culture and community relationships.

He’ll also oversee the strategic direction and continued growth of the organization.“I’m honored to lead such a great organization and team of people,” Vaselaar said.“I look forward to continuing WNB Financial’s long-standing tradition of being a premier regional financial partner and trusted advisor to our clients and the communities we serve.”

With this transition, Jack Richterwill continue in his role as President& CEO of WNB Holding Company, the parent company of WNB Financial. He also serves on the board of directors for both WNB Financial and WNB Holding Company.

“I’ve had the privilege of working with Dave for more than 17 years and know he’s an outstanding leader and community banker dedicated to our coworkers, clients, and the communities we serve,” Richter said. “I’m confident Dave will do an excellent job in leading the outstanding team at WNB Financial. Vaselaar holds 33 years of banking experience, most recently serving as WNB Financial’s President and Chief Operating Officer. He also held the roles of Chief Credit Officer and Business Banking Manager.

Prior to joining WNB in 2004, Vaselaarserved as Market President of Community First Bank (Windom, Minn.), Vice President of Citizens State Bank (Arlington, S.D.), and Loan Officer at First Interstate Bank (Phoenix, Ariz.). He currently serves on the Winona HealthBoard of Directors, Habitat for Humanity Faith Relations Committee, Winona Area Chamber of Commerce Public Policy Committee, and formerly served as Board Chair for Cotter Schools.
