WINONA, Minn. (KWNO)- Winona Health will hold an appointment-only COVID-19 vaccine clinic this week.
Winona Health President and CEO Rachelle Schultz told KWNO the clinic will be Thursday afternoon. She says they received 318 doses of vaccine for this week, which is a smaller amount than what has come into the area in recent shipments.
“It appears that the state has gotten a little bit less vaccine and there’s more of it actually being kept up in the Twin Cities metro areas,” said Schultz.
She says they will distribute the Pfizer vaccine, which 16 and 17-year-olds are eligible to get. Schultz encouraged members of that population to make an appointment, pointing to data that shows that age group leading Minnesota’s surge in COVID-19 cases.
