(KWNO)- Mid West Music Fest has unveiled its lineup for the 2021 event.
The 12th edition of the event will feature 14 acts, all of whom will play on Sat., May 15 at Prarie Island Park. Organizers say event guidelines meant to slow the spread of COVID-19 will be in place.
Tickets will be on sale via midwestmusicfest.org and MWMF Facebook page starting Wednesday, March 24.

3/18/21, Winona, MN: Mid West Music Fest (MWMF) has announced the full lineup for the 12th-anniversary music festival held in Winona, MN on May 15. Performing at Prairie Island Park will be 14 musical acts representing a wide variety of the best established and up-and-coming performers in the upper Midwest. Safety guidelines will be in a place that meets the current standards for the State of MN.
Headliners for 2021 include hip-hop, funk band Nur-D, surf-punk rock act The Von Tramps, and long-time fan favorites The People Brothers Band. The Community Stage will also feature local jazz/hip-hop group Doug Boodle w/ Jonathan Blakk, looping, hip-hop artist Queen Drea, local sludge pop act The Ultrasounds, and Minneapolis indie-rockers The Immaculate Beings. The event will be ticketed and will run from 4 PM to 10 PM.
The 2021 one-day fest will highlight a special event during the day on Saturday, May 15th in partnership with WNB Financial, Elizabeth Callender King Foundation, Winona Community Foundation, Music-MPLS, and WINONArts. The event will run from 10:30 AM to 4 PM and be FREE to the public (all patrons will need to reserve a ticket due to Covid rules) and feature the Community Stage, which will begin the day with Student performers and continue with a diverse line-up through the afternoon. Students scheduled to perform include Winona’s Little Warrior Drumline, folk artist Milana Shira, and rock band For the Flowers. Featured artists throughout the afternoon include uke chanteuse Katy Vernon Band, dirt folk hero Gabriel Roderick of Freaque, and local folk-blues act Land At Last, which includes Jake Ilika and Mike Munson.
Also returning will be the Mid West Music Fest Artisan Market and Dr. Bob’s Puppets.
