Authorities ID Deceased Man Following Fountain City Fire

(KWNO)- Buffalo County Authorities have identified 62-year-old Hermanda Richardson of Kenosha as the man who died after escaping a Fountain City fire early Wednesday morning.  

Richardson escaped the structure fire on South Main St. that broke out shortly after midnight then suffered a medical emergency outside of the burning building. Firefighters were able to save the surrounding buildings, but the structure where the blaze broke out was deemed a total loss, according to the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office.  

Six fire departments battled the blaze for several hours in sub-zero temperatures. Buffalo County Authorities say the Fountain City Kwik Trip is providing those displaced by the blaze with supplies.
