(KWNO)-A fire engulfed a semi-trailer near the intersection of West 3rd Street and Ewing Street in Winona. A police spokesperson said officers responded to the fire around 3:50 a.m. on Tuesday. Several tractor trailers and other vehicles were being stored on the site, which is a commercial area.

The Winona Fire Department extinguished the fire before it spread and found what they think is a mattress or couch in the trailer. The spokesperson said that led police to think someone was living in the trailer though officers did not find anyone nearby. A homeless person was recently found living in a different vehicle on the same property.
